Hi Ladies
Well my moan of the week is I'm going backwards with the housework. Saturday morning I came downstairs to find Jeremiah had poured red and yellow paint over the sofa. I'm wondering where on earth he got the paint from and then dh says he bought some paint for work although why he left it where Jeremiah could reach it I don't know. I cleared up the paint and chucked it in the bin, well I thought I'd got it all but yesterday morning Jeremiah had poured green paint all over the sofa, grr.
Yesterday I waited in all day for the new cooker to be delivered. I said to DH that it hadn't turned up. Then MIL phoned to talk about us going to the carnival together next month and I mentioned to her about the cooker. She then said that her sister had rung to say the delivery date had changed to today and she had told DH and he said it was fine. (cooker is gas so comes under fixtures and fittings. Our house is owned by the chapel next door and MIL's sister is chapel treasurer so that's why she was organising delivery. Also we were on holiday last week and MIL's sister is on holiday this week, bad time for cooker to break!) I talked to DH and he said, oh yeah, mum mentioned something about that, grrr. I wasn't meant to be in today as Isaac has his mmr jab but he threw up all over the other sofa that I'd just cleaned so I've had to cancel. The cooker came this morning thank goodness and the gas man is coming tomorrow to fit it so no more microwave meals!
Isaac is looked after a respite carer for 2 hours a week while Jeremiah is at nursery because Isaac has special needs so I can clean the house as I spend a lot of the time Isaac is around playing with him, feeding him and helping him practice sitting etc as well as taking him to various appointments with physio, paediatrician etc. Every year or so I get it increased to 3 hours a week for 6 weeks so I can have a good spring clean. At the end of the 6 weeks and in the middle Isaac's disability social worker comes round to see evidence that I've spring cleaned. Every time I clean something then one of the children or DH mess it up again. The SW is coming tomorrow and I have to say to her that in my extra cleaning hour I've washed to sofa cushions and covers twice each and cleaned the cooker and then got a new one! Love Sophie xx
