DYK I'm really glad you told us Lyn - I was itching to know too!

DYK I missed the whole build up of tension yesterday & was quite shocked this morning.

DYK I had a RUBBISH night after a LOVELY MEAL - no cake as big as my head - just icecream as big as my head!! mmm! Then I came home & felt so fluey that when dp asked me what was wrong i burst into proper soap opera style tears and said " I...don't...know...(wail)"

DYK this is the first mastitis that I've not been able to fend off without anti-bs :O( But the people at the docs were FAB and they saw me straight away!

DYK does that mean I really look terrible & they just wanted me out of the surgery? lol!

DYK this is my first ever post on this thread, i love it!

DYK big (((hugs))) to everyone that needs them

DYK i'm finding the jump from 2 kids to 3 far far harder than 1 to 2

DYK thats the only reason i don't seem to have the time to post, before i know it the days over!

DYK i really want to be a midwife but think i need to wait till lilya is alot older

DYK in the meantime i'm thinking of trying to get a job as a teaching assistant next year, i'll then make a decision whether i go to uni to be a midwife or a primary teacher. DH is a secondary teache theres no way i could do his job lol

DYK lilya is making it very hard for me to type, grabbing my hair with one hand and batting my arm with the other, sooooo cute though :)

DYK I thought about becoming a doula after ds1 - but I suppose it would be the homer simpson approach to employment, leaving a perfectly good, steady, well paid job to chase dreams!

DYK I often wonder how many women train to be midwives after going though pregnancy?!

DYK I realised that I would be too emotional to be a midwife when I was placed next to a woman in hospital with a string of unkempt, dirty family members that visited her.  She left the beautiful, jauniced, tiny baby ("4lb...all me others wo tha too."!) for hours on end to go wandering off.  She didn't wake to her crying and didn't keep tabs on feeding.  I had to ask the midwives to check on the baby twice for choking because she didn't wake up. If I was a midwife, the baby would not have left to go home to that life, but they must see it all the time & just have to let them go. :o(

DYK  still think about that little baby, but hopefully she'll turn out to be a resourceful, hard nosed survivalist tike, because she's never known anything different.

DYK I feel very lucky, and hope that my boys will feel the same.  Although they won't be chuffed when I'm wrestling the remotes off them in the future in order to do chores! lol!

DYK I dont know if I am supposed to be in the cool gang or not, am guessin not cause have never been in one in my life and dont know if I am bein thick or not but not sure who is supposed to be in it.

DYK one of my longest lasting memorys from this board and all the support you all gave me during the hard time of Charlotte being in hospital was of Kelsa telling me that I was her hero cause of everything I was going through and how I was dealing with it, it made me cry (lots) and I thought it was one of the nices things someone has ever said to me!

DYK I think Kel's dad dieing is so very sad and my heart goes out to her, it also makes me stop and think about what is important and what we should all be spending our time and energy on.

DYK I couldt have got through my pregnancy, early birth and 3 months of hospital with out the support from each and every one you lovelly ladies.

DYK - I think that sums everything up perfectly Kat.

DYK - I have actually cried this morning over this and a few other things this morning.

DYK - that I think that even though we might think we are all fine that our hormones are still wreaking havoc with our emotions and that has played a large part in what has just happened.

DYK - that none of this in the grand scheme of things matters in light of Kellie's post this morning.

DYK - life IS too short and precious. Can we just draw a line under it all and move on.

DYK - it is often possible to read a post in many ways and it may be read by someone in a totally different way to which it was intended. An example sentence highlighting the emphasis word to explain what I mean.

I DIDN'T SAY SHE STOLE IT. I didn't say she stole it, I didn't say she stole it, I didn't say she stole it, I didn't say she stole it. That's 4 different just there and no-one knows what the actual poster's intention was unless it was actually spoken, thats the main difficulty with text.

DYK - we are all different and THAT is what makes this board work. Some posts are funny and get lots of answers, some are sad and ditto, Some ask for help and where possible I hope that they get the help needed.

DYK - its possible for any post to be dropped without it being anything personal - I often forget to check "more posts" to see if something has dropped down

DYK - I fiercely proud of this board and the fact that anyone feels sad breaks my heart. I don't want ANYONE to leave nor do I want to have to get my machinegun kitty to round you all up in a room so we can clear the air if needed.

DYK - I think I'm starting to waffle now

DYK - I'm going to post this and make a cuppa!!!
