my hv asked me to go to the new surestart bf group as she wanted to have a few old hands there in addition to the professionals as she said sometimes its easier to accept the word of a "been there done it than a clipboard carrier" iykwim

It was good actually and Xander got to play with some new toddlers too before we went shopping so might go more often.

Anyway while we were there we weighed Ronan.......he only just fit in the bloomin scale trough!

he was clothed and had been in his nappy for 1 1/2 hrs so prob carrying a few ozs extra but he weighed in at a stonking 17lb 15oz!!! He's 15+4 today in 6-9 vests, near enough in 6-9 gros as 3-6 only just fit and needs 6-12 socks - I guess he'll be another one destined to be taller than me by 12!!!

Bless!  He's doing SO well Jo!  I actually logged on to chat on fb this morn to see if I could ask you which nappies you're using!  Ethan's 15lb and technically at the top end of the pampers new baby 'great-at-catching-bf-poo' nappies!  Ended up with baby dry - but they're just not the same!

Was it a big group?  I have to confess I've never done the face-to-face mums' groups things - I'm too chicken!  Weird for someone who's job it is to speak to 30 at a time in class! ;o)

LOL Jo!

Max was just like Ronan - he was off the charts for both weight and height until he was 8 months - he is now mr average!

Joe was 15lb 7oz at 14 weeks which is just over 75th centile but he is so long - 62cm at 6 weeks!! He is in 6-9 vests and 6-9 gros and trousers and has been for a few weeks already!!

Not quite sure where it has come from as I am only 5'2"!!!

I love chunky babies!

T

I have been using Active Fit for Joe - they seem to hold the BF poo much better than Baby Dry as they have a woven top layer more like the New Baby nappies.

we are using huggies newborn size 3 (which go to 20lb as opposed to pampers newbaby 3's which only go to 15lb) at the moment but have used active fit too - depends whichever has the better buy 2 for ....... when I'm running out. I suspect I'll need size 4 at next purchase tho as I have another pack of 3's in the cupboard
