Hi,
I just posted this on the BF board but thought I may get a quicker response here - I was stuck on the loo last night and was also sick - Summer wouldn't take a bottle so I had to feed her. I'm starting to feel a bit better so I'm hoping it was just food poisoning - should you BF when ill?

Thanks
Amanda

Message: yes you should. There's no reason why not. I had glandular fever with DS1 and i was told to carry on BF him, the only reason i stopped was because i was actually too poorly to do it, not because i was worried he would get it (i didnt give GF to anyone at all!!!)

Message: Thanks Stef - just what I wanted to hear. I've eaten some toast and my tummy is gurgling so at least if I am still ill I don't need to worry about Summmer,

hi Amanda

I fed DD1 when I had a tummy bug. She didn't catch anything.

I also get bouts of a runny tummy now and again (IBS) and Ella has always fed from me straight after and has been fine.

Hope you feel better soon

love Kay x
