Good afternoon,

My son Sam will start going to school nursery from Easter next year.

After his 3rd Bday.

When will your little ones go to school nursery? Will they start with 1 morning a week? Or 2 or 3 or more?

When is it good to start on full days for the whole week?

Hi
I've applied for my daughter to go after Xmas (she's 3 in Nov), but she'll only get a place if there's any going - it's not guaranteed. If she does get a place it will be 5 mornings or 5 afternoons.

Currently she is with a child minder who I'll still have to pay even when she goes to nursery so I'm not fussed whether she goes or not to be honest.

I take it you're a bit unsure about what to do for Sam? Are you at home with him and will this be his first time being left? I would suggest maybe 2 mornings a week then...

Hope this helps
L

Hello and thank you for replying.

Sam has been with the childminder since he was 6 months old. I have been working full time since.

I would also pay the childminder but at least not when he's at nursery, as the 1st 15hours are free.

My childminder would charge us £5/h for 3 hours a day. We would pick Sam up from nursery at 12PM and take him at home for lunch. I will have my lunch between 12 to 1pm and my hubby from 1 to 2pm at home. so then we can drop Sam off the c/m at 2pm until 5pm.

we are lucky that we work and live really close to the c/m and nursery.

and during half term, she would have him full time again and for £5/h all day from 9pm to 5pm

xxx
