Becky wanted to play with playdough. As we've just got some new stuff which is still its original colour and not a disgusting brown, I suggested that she only use one colour.

This was her response :

"But Mummy, I want to make a snail with a green shell, a yellow slippy bit, blue eyes and red on it ..."

When I'd stopped laughing, I did give in and let her have all 4 colours. Normally I stick to my guns, but let's be honest, playing with a single colour of playdough isn't as fun as a mixture ...

Good on becky - play dough is no fun if you cant either eat it or mix it! I have to admit I did fall about laughing at one of jacks bizarre requests today - he was watching "I can cook" on Cbeebies on his potty while I was getting Tom ready to go out this morning. When I said it was time to go he said "But mummy I NEED to watch these boys and girls cutting up sun dried tomatoes with scissors" he just sounded like such a spoilt little brat it was actually funny. Cxxx

PS he has never actually seen or tasted a sun dried tomato in his life!!!!!

Beth has now started trying "we need..."  Like that's going to work any better!

Caught them rolling about on the spare room bed freshly made for visitors, told Beth to get off and got the response "Ellie's on it" like that should make it ok.  When asked how did Ellie get up there, the response was " I lifted her". 

Sigh!
