Thought it was about time I stopped lurking.
I'm Rachael I'm 29 and live in Germany with my toyboy dh 23, I've got three living children, DS 11, DD1 9 and baby Allanah almost 6 weeks. It's taken my dh and I five years to make it to this board, we lost our first daughter when I was 14 weeks pg but they insisted she was 16 weeks it was a horrible time and still haunts me that I couldn't keep her safe (my placenta stopped working and abrupted, to me that felt like it was my fault).

I went on to have several more first trimester losses, they found I had hughes syndrome (clotting problem) I was given low dose asprin but then we got married, moved to Germany and I ran out of tablets all at the wrong moment because I'd just found out I was expecting well I don't know what happened but my DD was born in September without any medication. The pregnancy was horrid with lots of problems and then the labour and delivery even worse, she was back to back and wouldn't come down so the midwife had to pull her out (would've been a c-section but the theatres were full and she had to be born there and then) but she's here and safe and I love her more than anything.

Hope to get to 'know' you all

Hey Rach,

Welcome! I was wondering if / when you might show your lovely face over here and am so glad you have as I really miss the ladies from PAL and feel we've all lost touch somewhat (I know we talk on FB) since we graduated.

As you can probably tell we are a painfully quiet board, so it's always lovely to have a bit of new blood!

Catch you later,

Hello, Thank you for the welcome I've been lurking but not posting because it was so quiet, but I noticed your name keep popping up so I thought I'd join you, it still sounds weird thinking and reading that we've graduated :0)

Thank you for the welcome, your little boy is gorgeous.

Not too sure what it's like living here, I know that sounds a bit weird but I was so ill while I was pregnant that I've not really been out. The local area is fantastic at the moment, all the trees are amazing colours, there's loads of zoo's and wildlife parks so if you like animals it's not a bad place to live, plus the outdoor pool was great over the very hot summer we had. I think that's the main thing about being here the seasons are bery defined, it's cool and sunny in spring, really hot in summer, windy and wet in autumn and we get loads of snow and it's freezing over winter, makes it a bit easier to plan for the weather :0)
