Hi

I'm so sorry to be welcoming you here.  What a devastating shock you and your boyfriend have had.

Sadly, there often are no answers, and there is nothing that you have done that would have led to this.

The ladies here understand how devastating a loss this is, and hopefully we can offer you some comfort and support.

Jane

Hi Samantha

I too am new to this board. I went to the EPU this afternoon, following a bleed over the weekend to be told that I had M/C again, my 2nd in 5 months.

They gave me a leaflet from Tommy's and i just looked on their website www.tommys.org whilst it can't provide answers it did give me some more information. The nurse reassured me that there was nothing that I had done to make this happen and nothing that I could have done differently to have prevented it - the same is true for you.

It is only natural to be upset by what has happened, it does feel so unfair. The nurse told me today that as soon as I had a 'normal" period there was no reason why we couldn't try again. And whilst I know it may take some time and a lot of strength it will happen - there are some posts on here that reassured me that I was not alone and a lot of people out there are in a similar position, who now have healthy babies.

The first time this happened to me I did not talk about it, but have found that there are a lot of friends and colleagues that have also suffered a loss, and talking about it helped me. My DH has also been a huge support to me and it has brought us closer together.

Sending you big hugs

Lucy

Hi

So sorry to hear of your loss.  The range of emotions that you go through is unbelievable and so emotionally draining and then a horrible numbness.

Be gentle on yourself and take care.

Kaz x
