Hi all

I seem to be the latest to transfer from MD June having suffered my 2nd m/c. We only started TTC in June and I got a BFP 1st month, followed very quickly by a m/c. Then I got another BFP October.

This time I managed to get an early scan at the EPU, then started to bleed 4 days later. I was advised to go to A&E on Sunday even though that turned out to be a waste of 3 hours, as they said there was nothing that they could do and they weren't worried because my scan had showed that my pregnancy was inside my womb.

Doctor was a little rude as he asked me why I was upset - could have swung for him. Anyway the nurse that came in was lovely and appologised that they could not be of more help and referred me back to the EPU. It's clear you have spent too long in EPU when I went back today and the nurse recognised me. She did offer a lot of reassurance, but said there was nothing that they would be able to do as this stage unless it happend again.

I wanted to post a big thanks to others who have shared their stories, as it has made me realise that I will get through this - it just may take a little time.

Sorry to hear of your loss.

Nasty nasty doctor; clearly a guy who has no idea! I'm glad that the nurse was reassuring. I've discovered, since losing three babies this year, that so many women are going or have been through the same thing and it's amazing how much the ear, shoulder or hand of a nurse or doctor can make such a difference. I saw my doctor yesterday (who did a d&c on me two weeks ago), and she was sooooo nice and sympathetic and caring that I came out on cloud nine even though she didn't do anything and I'm still not pregnant.

TAke care of yourself.

Hi

Sorry you are going through this too.  What a horrible doctor they are so insensitive aren't they.

My EPAU nurse said that unfortunately it was sooo sad for the ladies involved but it is so very common that doctors don't  class it as anything but the norm and can be insensitive to us.

Be gentle on yourself.

Hi

It's so sad that there isn't a way to teach someone how devastating the loss of a baby is.  How insensitive of that doctor.

I'm glad the nurse was understanding.

I'm so sorry for your losses.

Please take care.

Jane
