Hi Ladies

I have not been on these boards since I had my son Jack back in May 2006 (mums Club06) but know there a great support!

I just wanted to talk to someone about my situation as it came as a complete surprise :o(

I had a normal period on the 21st of October there was nothink unusal about it (the same previous months like clockwork), then it stopped as normal. Then 2 days later I started to bleed again which I found quite strange. I then started to get awful pains in my right side of my tummy, shoulders and right leg, so I took myself sown to my GP. She ruled out pregnancy and put it down to an infection. By the night time i was doubled over in pain but just tried to sleep through it.

The next couple of days the bleeding calmed down but the pain got worse so i decided to go to A&E on Thursday and the doctors did some blood test and they confirmed I was pregnant. It was a complete shock as I am on the mini pill and had no symptoms at all they said i was about 9 to 10 weeks.

When they told me I was surprised but really happy. The hospital decided to keep me in just rule out eptopic pregnacy. I been in all weekend and the doctors took more blood on Sunday and found that the pregnancy hormone had dropped to 55 and broke the news that I was actually miscarrying.

I feel really wierd and now I am back home feeling really numb in the space of a week I found out I was having a baby to now lost it. I have never been through anythink like this.

My DF is very quiet as he also looked really happy at first when we were told we were expecting. Its all happend so fast and I just dont know how i deal with it??

I am also still bleeding and now and then still get a little pain? anyone else had this after?

Sorry to go on but I guess I just need to let it out.

Thanks for reading guys xxx

Hi - welcome to the board, sorry you've found yourself here in those circumstances. It must be such a roller coaster of emotions you are on. I found it helpful to write it all down, it helps to process the feelings.
As far as bleeding afterwards goes, everyone is different, but bleeding for several days would certainly be normal. There is a thread further down the board on different experiences of natural miscarriage. Have the hospital arranged a follow up scan or blood tests to make sure the miscarriage is complete? You probably have a lot of questions you will want answered.

Hope we can help you at a horrible time. Jen xx

Hi

Just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear about your loss.  I too found out I was pg only to lose it within a week or so.  You go through all the emotions and I'm not suprised you are still numb.

They kept me in too from Friday until Monday and it is such a shock - take care of yourself.

Kaz x

Hi rologirl2009

I'm so sorry for your loss - such a shock for you to deal with.  I'm not surprised you're feeling numb.

Please don't feel you've gone on - you haven't at all.  The ladies here are brilliant, and we do understand how devastating this can be.

Please do keep posting.

Loads of hugs

Jane
