Hello Twin Mummies and Twin Mummies to be! :)

I don't post here often but regularly 'lurk' lol!

My boys will be 9 months old this Christmas and it is the first 'celebration' they will have experienced. I would like to know what you all bought your twins for their first christmas and what suggestions you made for gifts from relatives?

Did you set precedents early on that they weren't going to 'share' gifts but have 'individual' presents? Would your twins mind sharing or are they very independant and don't like to be seen as one entity? Do you buy the same item ie clothes/toys but in different colours/styles? Do you find realtives just buy a joint gift because they find it easier?

Please share your experiences! It's the 1st of November already and Christmas is going to creep up on us really quickly!

Hi Peach!

My two were nearly five months last Christmas and I had a ball! Mainly we bought them joint presents, as they were too young to really distinguish between their toys, so we bought loads of joint things that they could both enjoy. We did buy them some different things, they got a rattle each which we bought in Disney a few weeks before Xmas so Josh got a Mickey one and Mia a Minnie one! We didn't ask friends or family for specific gifts, we let them choose and they got some lovely stuff.

This year it's a little different and I'm buying them individual gifts, I know they'll both end up playing with each others toys but I want to ensure their individuality, and I don't want them to feel they have nothing of their own. I have to say, I'm so looking forward to it this year and I plan to go to town .... !!!

Hi!

Their first Xmas, the girls were only a couple of weeks old, so I don't remember what we got them. I remember getting them a rocking horse to share early on, but don't know when that was. We share a lot of their toys, as they're good at sharing and some things it just isn't practical to have 2 of. Like their kitchen etc. Things like ride ons, bikes and that they have one each. We've got them a baby Annabell doll each for this year.
