I received this email from Michelle on Saturday (I am sure she won't mind me posting it to you all)
.... I had my 34+ week scan on thursday..both babies looked ok (5.3 lbs each roughly) but my blood pressure was all over the place and I had increased protein in my urine. Plus my swelling in my legs/hands were getting worse and my right leg is worse than my left. they thought it might be a clot...so they kept me in overnight on Thursday. No clot was found on ultrasound...and my protein levels dropped and blood pressure stabilised so they sent me home. But I was given a shot of steroids to mature the lungs...have to go in again today to get everything checked out again and another steroid shot. They did a fetal heart monitor check and it seemed initially one baby's heartbeat was not as high as they liked although it stabilised.....I am up now because I haven't felt them kick as much as usual (I think- does the mind play tricks on you?)...i am debating calling them and going in early. it's so scary. We are so far from ready in the house due to all the works....but I don't know what how I will handle if something were wrong with the twins.. I just wanted to write and let you know in case you don't hear from me...we don't have a laptop so i can't connect in the hospital!
So, as I have not heard from her since - I can only presume she is currently in hospital. I am sure you will all be with me in wishing her well and hopefully she and the babies are safe and sound.
