Hurray!!!  They no longer consider me any higher risk than the average mum to be - have I mysteriously regressed in age???

They have no plans to induce me, unless of course I go the obligatory 2 weeks over.  Funnily enough, it was the Registrar I saw the time before last, the one who had wanted to induce me up to 2 weeks early!  Bit strange though - he said at least 3 times "Nice to see you again"  and then after after having a listen to the heartbeat, asked if everything was ok at home - I've never been asked that before!  I don't think I looked any more battered than usual though...  Liked my brick dust/plaster craving and said it didn't mean I needed calcium in my diet - like I keep getting told :)

MIL has moved in today - and I am so glad!  She's here for DS's 3rd birthday on Saturday but when I picked her up she had a bigger suitcase than usual.  We'd talked about this ages ago but I thought she'd forgotten, but when DH spoke to her a couple of days ago, he said she should come prepared to stay a while.  She's great with DS and insists on doing all my housework too :)  I'd initially told DH I wanted her to leave when I get out of hospital with baby, but now I don't mind if she stays - I've mellowed a lot in the last 3 years I guess :)

So now it's up to Baby Peanut to make its own appearance - 14th would be good!

Roz xx

OMG are you local to me? Can I share your MIL? LMAO DP is still off work looking after me but that remit sadly only extends to keeping DD out my way so I can die quietly; housework is an optional extra so the flat looks like a slum!! So if you do get bored of her & she doesn't mind kipping on my daybed in the living room... ;)

Am glad to hear you've been declared "normal" in the very last act - honestly, you're not that old are you? I clicked on your profile out of curiosity cos they've made such a big thing of your age...what's 41 to have a baby these days? And not your first either...

LOL at being asked if all was well @ home; someone asked me that @ work once cos I'd been a bit snippy with me...wasn't home that was the problem IYKWIM!!!

Wishing you lots of labour vibes - aren't we due roundabout the same date?

much love

Hi Roz

That's good news! Glad it all went well today.  Hope your DS has a lovely birthday on Saturday and baby stays put until afterwards. DD's birthday passed yesterday without baby putting in an appearance, so thankfully they won't share the same birthday.

Back on the pineapple to see if I can persuade him to arrive now. If not, have c/s booked for Weds as my consultant not keen to induce me and I had a very calcified placenta at 39 weeks last time.

Fingers crossed for 14th for you. Fab news that your MIL is so helpful ... my inlaws said they'd help out but keep booking holidays/ breaks. Grrr!

I don't know how I'd feel about that! I wouldn't want to be induced early, but I do kind of like knowing that they are keeping a close eye on me. I think it was a case of mistaken identity with your registrar. He mistook you for some poor, battered wife or something!!!

I won't be getting all that much help this time other than my mum coming to look after Matilda while I'm in hospital. Most of DH's paternity leave will probably be used sorting out our old house as it's not renting so we now have decided to sell. Starting to be resigned to it being next week now and I am so not ready for it, poor little mite!!! The cot is still in the loft at the old house for example!

Well, I'm glad one of us is sounding chirpy anyway. Has your age actually ever been mentioned? It hasn't for me other than in relation to test results as obviously it has an impact then.

Why the 14th, was that your due date?

Wendy xx
