Message: Taking William to the drs today, he has a hernia where his belly button is for about 3 weeks now and just getting it seen although it hasn't got any bigger.  He was a bit snuffly over the weekend and yesterday was coughing and unsettled although still feeding the same and no temperature.  I also have it, sore throat and stuffy nose although not really a full blown cold.  It's horrible seeing him unhappy.  Saw the health visitor yesterday who was great, he weighs 8lb 4oz now and is putting on 1lb per week!  She advised me to see GP and I have been trying to get through to them til now, booked appointments aren't until next week but can go and sit and wait so am going this morning.  He still managed to sleep as normal last night which was good, waking up 2 -3am to feed and up at 6am.

Message:

aaww hope hes ok and you too. Brooke had a hernia when she was a baby it went away eventually itself think its quite common but it is worrying to look at. Thats great about his weight gain too!! gps are a nightmare takes ageees to get through to mine and then theres not any appointments for weeks, to get an emergency appointment the nurse needs to call you to see if it warrants an appointment or if they can just prescribe over the phone which I dont think is very sensible!! Hope your not waiting around too long to be seen!

Jen xx
