Dear all
sorry it has taken me so long to get on here, however i had baby alfie last wednesday at 3.48pm by c section, he weighed 7lbs 9oz. I started having contractions at 11pm on tuesday evening, by 7am wednesday morning i decided that i we should go to the hospital, we got there at about 7:45am, where they examined me and i was 5cm, i went until midday without any meds where they examined me again and i was still 5cm, so they decided to break my waters, and then i had gas and air! After about an hour of them breaking my waters my husband noticed alot of brown gunk, they midwife confimed that the baby had poo'd and i needed to be transfered to labour ward as the baby was obviously in destres. After being transfered the doctor came to extamined me and said that she could feel a bottom, after a scan to confirm this they told me the risks and told me that the best thing to do is deliver him my c section. I agreed as i just wanted what was best for him and by this time i just wanted him here! So i had a spinal block for my c section and Alfie Joshua Collins was born at 3:48pm, he was givin straight to daddy as i wasnt very well at all due to the spinal block had made me quite sick. I came back on the ward and there i had my first hold of my lovely baby boy! hes so gawjus and i love being a mum!
hope you are all doing really well!
Sam
