LO is 4 weeks today and looks like we've hit a new growth spurt, unless he just wants a boob for comfort (i'm trying to put off giving him soother), but he's feeding every time i offer so has to be a growth spurt )))

anyway, we've just established a night feed routine where he feeds at 11-12 then 3-4 and 8-9 when we get up. i wonder is that going to go outta window during growth spurts???

Quite likely, but then in 2 days time he should be back to normal. Sometimes you have 24 hours of literally feeding every hour and it is bloomin hard work, but then they seem to almost stop wanting to eat anywhere near as much the next day and things go back to normal. I think there is a growth spurt roughly every 10 days in the early days so go with it if you can.

at 3 1/2 wks, Roly is also having a growth spurt! he ate all day yesterday and was quite uncomfy - windy, explosive poos - between feeds, probably as having to do so much digestion.  I found it hard to keep up - had to eat so much food myself!  he slept from 2am until 6.40 am tho, the longest night stretch yet!

on monday chloe literally was on my boob the whole day the hv said on tuesday there is a growth spurt between 3 abd 4 weeks then another at 6 weeks. She was back to normal on tues and wed then yesterday seemed to feed loads but today my boobs feel much fuller and are getting engorged again so I think she was feeding so much yeterday to increase my milk supply because shes needing more now.

Alex has been feeding almost non stop too, especially in the evening. He's bottle fed and has been taking 3-4 ozs every 2 hours all week, he was 3 weeks yesterday. She weighed him today and he has put on 11ozs since last tues which takes him up to 9lb 8ozs. She told me that there is a growth spurt between 3 & 4 wks and to try and give cooled boiled water between feeds ti stave him off for a while. I am dreading monday as DH goes back to work on a late shift so I'll have to deal with lots of feeds and my other ds by myself.
