HI Anna

Just starting a new thread for this so as not to gate crash anyone elses. I just wanted to let you know that I have been thinking of you and how you are coping being on your own. My DH has been an absolute star but he is going back to work on Monday and I am dreading it. I can't help thinking about you and how you have managed these first few weeks doing round the clock feeding and changing and crazy 24-hour call routine. From your posts you sound like you are doing brilliantly and I am so in awe of you! Hope Roly is doing well too and you are recovering from the birth. Do you have some good friends and family who are popping round and supporting you?

Sorry to anyone else on the board who is also coping alone - I only know about Anna as she has shared it before. If you are also managing the craziness of newborn life on your own- big hugs to you and you have my ultimate respect.

Love Seren x

Message: I agree. What would we do without our DPs? I would never have managed without mine, even if it's just someone to moan at sometimes! In general he keeps me sane and can be persuaded to make cups of tea when i'm passing out in the middle of the night.
Well done indeed Marchpoppy Anna, for getting through the pregnancy, the birth, and now the childcare - it is quite a feat.
I'm sure there are other single mums on here too but there should also be a special mention for Holly who's managing a 6 year old and 3 year old and now twins! It doesnt bear thinking about.
What amazing women us women can be. Everyone of us deserves praise, despite our doubts and worries we are all doing incredibly well.
Group hug xxxxx

ah - Seren and others - what a lovely, supportive message!  Thanks!

I am quite proud of myself managing so far and just glad to be enjoying baby so much!  Roly was  so wanted and I feel so happy he's  in my life!  The hardest times at the mo are long bouts of crying when I'm tired, but managing to reassure myself and this board is so great for support and practical tips.

I make a lot of food eg stew whenever I get a quiet moment so can then eat throughout day, have some lovely friends bringing soup and cake and phoning me from further afield too, virtual cuddles and some realhugs from visitors so not goin totally without!!

I think if i had a partner, knowing what i am like, i wd be worrying about them and the relationship and so i feel better off on my own tho its great to have A friend round to make a cuppa tea etc.

i def agree we all desevre the group hug and my respect to everyone, esp those with more than one baby!  Hope its true of twins _ double the trouble but double the joy!

Excuse typos - cuddling hand occupied!
