Hi ladies and tumbleweed...lol

It's so grey, windy and spitty outside today, got me thinking about cooking something warm and comforting.

I'm having soup for lunch and am contemplating a nice stew for supper. Anybody got any good stew recipes? I recall seeing an irish hotpot type recipe years ago that looked so good but I never tried it.

I just want to put and apron on and get into the kitchen and cook and bake all day but alas I'm working so thats not really an option. Not so keen on having a very snotty 18month old helping me cook today!

What you cooking today?

x
Sam

Hi Sam,

Well if you've seen my FB status' you'll already know what i've been cooking, I have a Chicken Casserole inthe slow cooker for tea which i'm doing with mash and cabbage.  I have also made a Leek and Potato soup which Caiden and I have eatne the majority of for lunch LOL!  Ther eis a Butternut Squash and Red Pepper Soup in the small slow-cooker and i'm trying to work up the energy to go and make the crumble topping for the apples i've got stewing on the cooker as we speak.

Definitely weather for comfort food :-)

Hmm don't talk about food, it's setting me off!  I made butter chicken curry yesterday which was rather yum, and quite sucessful.  I may make fish pie tonight, from a recipe D (mumtoHolly) has given me, which is totally deelish!
