You know me girls, once I set my heart on something, it becomes my passion till it's done lol!  Well, we're thinking of moving again.  We've been in our house for 2 yrs (this Oct 31st) and whilst I love it and I recently re-dec'd it, it's time to move on to somewhere where we have parking/driveway/garage facilities.  The council have given us no amount of grief since slapping double yellow lines all over the road outside our house, so now a shopping trip turns into a nightmare when I have to haul heavy bags of shopping AND three kids from my car to home...now a walk of over 300 metres at least.

SO I am therefore thinking of finally making a move out of town, into Milton Keynes.  Bigger, better, cheaper than where I am, and I can get more 'house' for my money.  I can't get what I would like in Chesham as prices are just too high, but for a bit of a stretch I can get a 'dream' house in MK.

It's a big decision that I've thought about lots, and I think we're doing the right thing for all of us.  Henna's changing school in Sep anyway and I'm hoping I can send both her and Amaan in their respective schools until their year ends.  That means minimal disruption to their education, and in particular Amaan, until I can make an informed decision about where to send him, given his special needs.

Wish me luck girls, as it's a big upheaval, and most importantly, I need to sell my house in this crazy market to fund the house I want to buy.  Fingers crossed for me please!

Hi Hameeda

Sounds exciting! I've been to MK a few times, and I've always liked it.

Up until the age of 21, I'd always moved house every 2 years at least, sometimes more often, I still find it exciting:-)

Good luck with selling up and finding that perfect house!

x

Hope you get the plan a reality - big and scary to move to something new - even when we came back to the midlands it was a huge change after having been in a bigger city, but after 4 years is starting to feel like we fit in again.

Why stop at Milton Keynes? come to Derby! huge deaf community, slap bang in the middle of everything and your house pound will go even further :-)

Rachel

Thanks for the encouragement Rachel, but Derby would just be too far.  Milton Keynes will be 45 mins from mum, sis, and brothers, and that's going to be a struggle initially, given that they're just down the road now.  Also, as one of my brothers already lives in MK, and it's closer to work, it seems the natural choice.

In recent developments, another brother (who also works with us) is now ALSO thinking about moving to MK with me, so it's double the fun!

Will keep you posted :)
