Hiya

Well, I've reached the 12 week mark, of course, I am happy about it but I still can't breathe that sigh of relief. I won't do until I actually see the baby on my scan this Thursday. Honestly...this has been the longest 6 weeks ever! I'm mainly worried because aside from the weight gain and increased appetite, I still haven't had many symptoms of pregnancy. I just keep telling myself that I'm obviously one of the lucky ones and I should just enjoy it but..I have a feeling it is going to be a long six months!

Then again, I can't believe I'm 3rd of the way! My friend is pg as well, she is a month ahead of me and she has been exactly the same - hardly any symptoms - and her baby is absolutely fine.

I just want the next 4 days to go very quickly!

Hope everyone else is okay?

Lots of Love!

Nixxi

I had no symptoms when pregnant with my DS absolutely nothing i didnt even gain weight that was noticeable until 26 weeks and yet i was relaxed through that pregnancy. This one i am obviously making up for being lucky last time i have had every symptom and suffered but im more worried this time its strange how our minds work i bonded with my son as soon as i knew i was pregnant i knew it was a boy i had a dream but with this one i cant bond as i havent had scan and yet its strange i didnt wait for scan last time. I am sure all will be ok and weight gain and increase of appetite are actually symptoms so you have 2 yayyyyy wishing you well for thursady i have to wait a week and a day longer im wishing time away too.
Good luck.

Hi Nix

I hate to say it but yes it probably will seem like the longest pregnancy ever from start to finish for you! I kept thinking that after each milestone (1st scan, getting to 12 weeks, having to start wearing maternity clothes, half way mark, feeling first kick etc) that I'd start to feel a bit more settled but there is still a part of me that doesn't yet believe this baby is real! And it also feels like I've been pregnant for ever and I still have 11 more weeks to go!

Having said that, like yourself, I didn't get many early pregnancy symptoms either which I think is partly why it doesn't seem real. Rest assured, once you get your bump though and you feel the baby kicking you probably will start to have lots of "OMG we've actually done it" moments!

Good Luck for your scan on Thursday - hope you get lots of nice pictures!

Love

Sarah

I don't think you ever stop worrying! Though since my 20 week scan the time has flown by. I too didn't really get many symptoms early on though I am making up for it now!

Good luck for your scan.

Oh Nix,

I can empathise totally.  I am only a wee bit ahead of you and I saw my baby at just under 12 weeks and all was perfect but I still worry.

I actually do have symptoms, such as frequent nausea and vomiting but I still worry.  I just think when it is your dream and you have had to work so hard to achieve it (as we all have) that we can't help but be anxious.

I try really hard to retrain my thinking and focus on the good and the fantastic little miracle inside, but very often worry creeps back.

I am wishing you a wonderful scan on Thursday and hoping all your worries fly away.

Cara x
