hello everyone,

its taken me weeks and weeks to build up to posting here after being on ttcal and cwm boards.  i am now 10 and a bit weeks pregnant but have had spotting/bleeding from 10dpo until about 3 days ago so you can imagine how much of a rollercoaster it has been.  i have been under the care of a consultant who eventually diagnosed me with a luteal phase defect caused by my body being unable to process and make use of progesterone.  the cycle before my bfp i had been on fertility meds and progesterone, but my bfp came with no meds!!

but the spotting has been very worrying i have been and still am injecting myself with hcg which apparently should help and scans highlighted a small haematoma that was causing the bleeding.  it has shrunk now and have stopped spotting for 3 WHOLE DAYS which feels like a miracle.  i dont really feel relieved as still waiting for it all to go wrong like it did back in march.  i cant even face doing a pregnancy ticker yet but i am learning to live with the uncertainty _ i guess we dont have a choice do we??

am meant to be at work today but have sick bug on top of horrendous morning sickness!!

looking forward to meeting and getting to know you all - you are so supportive and have gained much from you in last couple of weeks even as a lurker

Hiya Caroline,
I remember you from ttcal and cwm boards so its great to see you here Congratulations!
Now it's time for a whole different set of worries eh? I don't think we really ever stop worrying on PAL, I don't know how your supposed to switch off all the emotions and all the dreadful "what if's" but coming on here helps so much.
That's great that the spotting has stopped and you'll be looking forward to your first scan soon.
Sending you all the good luck in the world and loads of hugs.

Marie Frances xx.
