Hi last night i was having pain in the bottom of my stomach, i was told to go to a and e to get checked out. I went and the doc there told me to stay in as could be a ectopic pregnancy. I went home as i hate being on my own in hospital and wanted to be at home with my other daughter and partner. I think i could possibly be 15 or 16 weeks pregnant, i have not yet had a scan, i will be having that tomorrow. The doctor in a and e asked me to go straight to my own gp in the morning to get a emergency scan arranged for today. When i went the doctorhe wouldnt even ring up to get me a emergency scan as i already have one tomorrow. I feel absolutely livid.

On top of that i have very sore gums, which seems a little weird. I suffer from bad anxiety, and all this is making me so worried x luckily my partner has today and tomorrow off to help me out x

Hi

Congratulations on your pregnancy

Good Luck with your scan today.

Pains in pregnancy could be growing or stretching pains - this can be very very scary but totally harmless. It is best to get it checked out though just incase it is something more serious. I shall keep my fingers crossed that it is only growing pains though.

I am amazed that the a&e dr didn't book you a scan while you were there and your drs attitude was a bit off too - they should have reassured you as you are obviously scared. If you had a scan booked then they could have at least tried to get you an earlier one just for your own piece of mind and then they could have cancelled the other one.

Let us know how the scan goes - I really hope it is all good news.

Love

Kath

hi hun, glad your scan was ok. i just stumbled on this post while browsing the boards and wanted to reply.

feeling sick and exhausted at this stage in pregnancy is totally normal, which will in turn make you feel fed up. my sickness and exhaustion went away at around 18 weeks and the middle part of my pregnancy was great and my energy came back. i had quite severe sickness and had to have anti sickness drugs to actually get to work without throwing up on the train on the way there!

i also suffer from anxiety too, if you are concerned about this please see your gp, they will be able to help you:)

all these unpleasant parts of pregnancy fade to a distant memory once your baby is here- i already feel like i could go through it all again!
