Just wondering if anyone has experienced Partial Molar Pregnancy, would like to hear from you.

Had 2 miscarriages this year, one in March (normal one at 6 weeks) and Partial Molar Pregancy in September at 12 weeks when I went for my scan. No bleeding. Had d&c. Under hospital serum and urine tests at the moment.

Hi Goddess Cosmic,

I'm sorry to hear about your losses and the partial molar pregnancy. I hope it gets sorted out soon.

There is a lady called vikki, her sign in name is Evil_Edna who had a molar pregnancy that then turned cancerous and then a miscarriage. She was very unlucky but the good news is she's now pregnant and due in January 2010. She's really nice. She used to post on pregnancy after loss a while back and you can probably find her on mum's due Jan too.

Good luck

hugs

Hiya, I replied to you on CWM.

Just wanted to say about Evil_Edna - I didn't think it turned cancerous - the need for Chemo isn't becasue of cancer its simply because the molar cells sometimes regrow or stick and chemo kills the cells - just like cancer.

The risk of needing chemo is 10%, I personally think even lower for partials as opposed to complete molars.

It is all expalined on the molar pregnancy website I added the address on my CWM reply.

The good news is, it is totally treatable - and apparently the 6 month wait goes fast :-D and we will all have babies soon - just like Vicki :-)

Hi Donna,

I don't know the details but Vikki explained that she was one of the unlucky one in 250 who get Choriocarcinoma after a complete molar pregnancy. I really don't know anything about this - except that it's a really rare complication of molar pregnancies.

Good luck with your ttc journey - may those six months pass quickly.

hugs

sweetgingercat and Joseph
