Hi i cant seem to stop crying, and also feel very sick and tired. Even moving from the sofa wears me out.

I went to see midwife last week, i am not sure how far pregnant i am, i have a scan on friday. It even make me feel as though i want to heave when i think about having a drink. I seem to have this acidy hungry sicky feeling in my stomach, its driving me nuts. I already have one daughter, pregnancy was pretty hard with her, but this time feels weird. I talk to my friends a bit about it as they have kids, but i dont want to keep moaning as feel as though they will get fed up with me. I am just finding it so hard to function at the mo. My fiancee is great but obviously cant completly understand.

xx

Hi,

Oh (hugs) Sounds like you are having a rough hormone filled first timester. Morning sickness is undescribling vile. Noone can understand it till they are there! It is also very easy to forget how bad it can be hence friends can be not as sympathetic as we like and need.

I was bad with both pregancies, could not function, no housework, food making me heave, being sick, everything tasted weird, smelt weird, cravings what a joke it was what food can I eat!

But it went and two beautiful children came, but at the moment what you need is a lot of tlc. Chat to your  midwife and tell her how you feel. She will set your mind at rest.

Whens your baby due?? Have you a rough idea? We have excellent Mums due clubs where ladies all at the stages share their thoughts, worries etc. Mine were (and still are!) a lifeline for me.

Try and get as much sleep as possible it does help. Oh and small frequent meals can help as well (toast, oat biscuits etc).

Take care,

Melx

Hi there,

Sending you some ((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) because you sound like you're having a tough time in these early weeks of pregnancy.  I can understand how you're feeling hunni, because I had morning sickness in both my pregnancies...it's rough...but I have 2 beautiful daughters to sow for those few hellish weeks of sickness, so keep thinking of that little baby growing inside you (my midwife always told me morning sickness was a healthy sign!)  I think the sickness combined with the tiredness in the early weeks is so hard, so I sympathise with how you're feeling.  Have you an inkling of how far on you are?  IVillage has excellent mum's due clubs, so maybe after your scan you could join one of those too, for extra support and friendship from women going through the same as you.

Wishing you lots of luck for your scan on Friday...would love to know how you get on :-)  Take care and hope the sickness eases off soon.

Love

Kelly xxx

P.S. I found ginger biscuits and ginger cake great for morning sickness x
