Firstly thank you to Eve and everyone for my post on Tuesday, having Allanah helped a little, losing Natalya has made me even more grateful for Allanah and she's even more precious because of what we've been through to get her here. Anyway DH is away on pre-deployment training prior to going to Afghanistan next April, the seperation has been tough but something I know I have to get used to. Yesterday I got a phone call from him, he sounded really shaky and odd, then he informed me he was in the back of an ambulance being blue lighted to the local civillian hospital, my heart sank, he said he'd dislocated his knee but no other details, then he had to go. So I spent yesterday afternoon wandering around in a daze, Allanah wouldn't settle or go to sleep and I didn't dare go out in case someone rang, my laptop refused to charge and the desktop monitor is broke so I couldn't even get online for more than a few minutes. It was the longest four hours of my life then I got a text message saying he was alright and was being allowed back to camp. I eventually spoke to him and all he'd done was dislocated his knee really badly, he has no idea how he did it. I say all he said he'd never say childbirth wasn't painful again and if I went through even a fraction of the pain he'd been through then I was a hero lol. I was so scared he'd done more than just his knee because he was on the ranges firing weapons and I know he does a lot of work with tanks so anything could've gone wrong. Thankfully though he's fine and we're just waiting to find out what happens next, he's got another two and half weeks away but could be back sooner. On the plus side I suppose it's all good practise for when he's on deployment but I'd rather not have to go through that again. Hope everyone else is well Rachael xxx
