hey there,just new here so here goes... i am 24 an not been sein my guy very long(about 3 months),we've only got intimate twice as we live about an hour apart,but that was more that enough as i've just discovered that i'm now pregnant as a result.He is totally against abortions so thats not an option..he already has a 2 yr old son with some1 else wich he isnt aloud to see....

 my thast AF was august,i aparently have polysistic overies but got 2 posotive tests an my boobs are killing me an feel like am gonna throw up..but thats not the problem. I havent been to the doctors yet  either an i aint got a clue how to tell my old fashioned brother and ill mother.I would love to have this baby as i feel it could be something to focus on while my poor mum deterierates,like a silver lining.I am in a not bad job an my guy is bein quite supportive,he's told his folks but like i said..i cant,i dont know how to.

plz help

I think the first thing you need to do is discuss the future with your boyfriend. Where will you live, his place or yours or somewhere new? How you will manage financially; will you go back to work and have you factored in the cost of childcare if you do? And I have to ask, why isn't he allowed to see his little boy as he has a right to access. Does he pay child support?

Do your mum and brother like your boyfriend? Have they met him before? I have to say at the end of the day what your brother thinks isn't really important - it's not his life that is changing, it's yours! But if he's old fashioned would you and your boyfriend consider getting engaged as a way of showing your commitment? Would that help keep your brother happy?

If you can present a united and strong front to your family, show them you have thought things through carefully, can financially support yourselves and are in a committed relationship, that could go a long way to smoothing the process.

I was 19 and engaged, but just starting my 2 nd year nursing at uni when we found out I was pregnant. I was a bit of a coward as I was at home when I suspected that I was pg and waited until I got back to uni 160 miles away from home before I took the cowards way and told my parents lol, with it beiong a 2 1/2 hr drive I figured if they did jump in the car then they would have at least cooled down a bit by the time they got to me!

As it was we got married as pre planned had the baby, I took six months off my course then joined back in with the next one at the same point I left. Now nearly 11yrs later we have we have 4 children 10, 6, 4 and 18mths.

you might be thinking my days a 14 year old (hopefully) giving you some advice and just helping out!

wen i found out i was preg i was 13years old, i turned 14 last mounth, i told my boyfreind as soon as i found out, and he sed that he wanted to keep this baby, so we cud make a fresh start out of our relationship, at first i dint know what i wanted to do, but decided i wanted to keep it! i was so, so, so scared to tell my parents, but i knew i had to, so one night i plucked up the courage and told them! they were both disapointed in me, but they were glad that i told them they sed if i never told them i was preg, and went thruu it on my own, theyd feel as if theyd dun something wrong and wud feel bad that i couldnt tell them,they were over the moon to think they were guna be grandparents and theyve helped me out BIG time with money and school and everything!

i know itsa bit different for you because your alot older, but i think you shud just sit your Mum & brouther down and tell them!

they dont even no about my boyfriend...i told them i was goin to meet an old school friend as he stays an hours drive away from me.also like i said we've only been sein each other about 3 months an dont know very much about each other atol.

 i dont know exactly why he isnt alowed to see his wee boy,he's been through the courts to get access an is only just managed to do so after 2 years...

 i've done the usual "for,against" an came out with more 'for' rather than 'against'.
