Not posted for a while but need your experiences and advice.

Back at the CON in a few weeks after having 3 months of clomid and no BFP as yet. Just wondered what will happen next with I be given more clomid but be monitored this time? Will they double the dose even tho blood test said it was working? Not sure how long you can take clomid some say 6 months others say 12 months. Can i ask to have IUI?

Hoping I get BFP before I have to go back.

Hi Lisa

I'm sorry to hear that clomid hasn't worked for you so far. It's hard to predict what your consultant will offer next as they all seem to work differently. Most people I know who have taken clomid haven't had it for any longer than 6 months before moving on to other forms of treatment. Have you had an HSG / Lap & Dye done yet? If not, he may suggest you have that done before pursuing anything else.

I'm in exactly the same position as you. Am now on my 2ww after my last round of Clomid (had three months too) and am due to go back to hospital in a couple of weeks. My con told me last time that IUI would be the next step, so I'm assuming that will still be the case?? I don;t think he'll put me on Clomid again as I do ov so it doesn't appear to have any extra effect :(.

Went back to the Con on Monday wont give me any more clomid either as I ovulated on it but didnt get BFP. I asked if I could have another 3 months with scans but he said would be pointless but i thought they could check size of follicles etc by doing this.

I am now being referred to the fertility specialist( he was apparently just the gyno) am slightly annoyed by this as I have to wait 6 weeks for an appointment. Hoping IUI will be offered to me.

Thanks for keeping us informed. It's a right pain waiting isn't it. I know I feel like I'm just living for the next appt and what they will say. I promised myself I wouldn't get like this, but it's so difficult not to. I don't feel any hope for us getting our BFP without a bit of help. I too hope I'm offered IUI.

Hope you're feeling OK. Have you heard when your next appt is yet?
