After having 3 months of clomid went back to the Con who said even tho it made me ovulate he will not give me anymore because i didnt get pregnant whilst on it.

Asked if I could have another 3 months but be monitored with scans etc he said that was pointless because the CD21 blood test proved it was working????? What about measuring the follicles and the uterus lining?????

He said he would refer me to the other Con who was specialised in this sort of thing ( I thought I was already seeing the spealised person!!!!) So now have got to wait 4-6 weeks to get appoint with the other bloke.

I have got a repeat perscription for the clomid thinking of getting some more whilst i wait I ve heard so many of you ladies get BFP on 6 th cycle why cant i give it a bit longer.

Will stop moaning now as already feeling down and tearful feel like ive wasted nearly a year going to and fro the Docs

I'm so sorry to hear your consultant wasn't more helpful. It sounds like clomid isn't really his area of expertise hence him now referring you elsewhere. Hopefully the next consultant will be much more optimistic and will set you on the right path to getting your BFP.

When we first started fertility treatment, we spent 15 months doing 12 DI cycles which all failed. It was only once we did IVF we found a reason for the failure and discovered the DIs would never have worked. I also felt like I'd wasted a year of my life so I sympathise with how frustrated you'll be feeling. But you WILL get there one day Lisa. It's just really hard not knowing how long the journey is going to take.
