Hi

I was just wondering how soon after a mc did you start ttc ?  I found out yesterday that I've had a natural mc.  They have still yet to rule out ectopic pg which will be done with a blood test tomorrow.

I was just wondering as I don't know what to expect.  Also I know that they say you are more fertile after a pg does this apply after a mc as well ?

Sorry to have so many questions just trying to get my head around everything.

Thanks

Kaz x

Hello

Sorry for your loss.

I had a D&C in June (pg lost at 18 weeks) and was going to wait for 2-3 months before TTC again for emotional and physical reasons. Anyway I had my first full cycle which lasted 34 days, just slightly longer than before I was PG. Then the next cycle I managed to conceive without every trying. I didn't think that I OV'd which is why discovering I was pg was a bit of a shock. Sadly we lost it at 6 weeks.
I then conceived immediately on the next cycle without even waiting for a full cycle. This time I lost the baby at 8 weeks.

So it seems that I am able to conceive immediately after miscarriage although my body seems to be telling me that I'm not ready. I am 38 which might be some of the problem. Right now I'm waiting for a full cycle now before TTC again.

Take care

Newbeanie

hello my lovely ((((((((hugs))))))))) its with a sad heart i welcome you to TTCAL, for me, after loss ive always got stuck in asap as soon as bleeding stopped, its true some say that after m/c you can find yourself more fertile but i dont think its this way for everyone... after my first loss it took me 4 mths to catch but after my cm pg in aug 1 mth.

they say to wait for one a/f but this is for dating as its hard to date a pg from a m/c.

be gentle on yourself my lovely and keep talking ..... we are here for you

love

Hiya recognise you from CWM board. My MMC in December was complete on 11th Jan and I had a BFP 7 months later but sadly ended in another MMC but as soon as its complete and bleeding stopped I will be trying again. Hope everything is ok.
