Hello ladies

Nothing too exciting for me to post other than I got the green flag from my doc today. Two weeks since my D&C and everything looks great. Doc did a vaginal ultrasound just cos the machine was sitting right there and I asked if she was sure everything got cleaned out. She looked at my ovaries and could see that one was about to drop an egg - how cool is that?
Unfortunately DH is in Australia so unless I jump on the postman, sadly nothing is going to happen this month. : (

Anyway, she sent me off for some blood tests next week during my luteal phase and has prescribed me progesterone cream (sounds disgusting and messy). Has anyone here used this cream and what was your experience? She told me to start putting the cream in (with what, I am assuming there is some kind of applicator that comes with the prescription?) from day 15 through to the end of my cycle. And then keep going if I am preggers but stop if I get a BFN.

Also, I see a bunch of ladies using baby aspirin. What is that for? When do you take it? I forgot to ask doc about it but am sure that I can buy it over the counter easily if I want to take it.

Feeling surprisingly positive. Original due date is next week; I may have a little wobble. Losing 3 babies in one year is an emotional rollercoaster but I'm confident 2010 will be a better year for us all.

Cheers

Hi Newbeanie,

I usually post on RMC but just wanted reply to your post.

My GP said i had to be referred to be put on baby aspirin but I was worried that by the time i found out I was pg then got referred it would be too late, so last time i was pg i took it of my own back and when i spoke to my consultant he said I was fine to take it and it would do no harm, unfortunately my last pg didn't last but i will take baby aspirin again because i just think maybe it was just one of those pregnancies that wasn't ment to be but hopefully it will help next time.

I'm sure we've 'spoke' before on RMC as I too have had 3 m/c since Feb.

Have you been referred for tests yet???

Wishing you lots of luck in the future

Hello

Yup, doc had no problems referring me for tests next week. Think that I'll pop in next Monday, then one week until I get the results. Doc did say chances are it won't tell me anything as she thinks that the problems I am having are chromosomal, but you never know.

Original due date is next Monday, the 9th. Seems crazy to think that I should be having a baby but am actually back and not even at first stage since I'm not pregnant. Very disappointing, but I'm in a much better place mentally than I was this summer.

If I'm OVing right now then next cycle DH will be in Japan and following cycle he will be in Las Vegas (assuming that I have 28/29 day cycles). I've told him that he can't travel around OV dates but he tells me he has no choice, which is probably true. So maybe I'll go with him. Can't afford for me and DD to go to Japan together but Vegas is only an hour flight so maybe we'll just go with him and he can pop back from his meetings for a quick bit of BD so I can get those swimmers! Now that's something to look forward too. Alternatively, there is still the postie!

Hi hu, so glad your apt was a positive one. Have they done chromosomal tests yet. At least that could give you some answers.

I was prescribed prog pessaries and they are messy enough, but hey its at night time so not that bad. Just wear some pants hun, thats all i can say.

My RMC said aspirin can make matters worse if no clotting probs, but my fertility cons told me to take it, hmmm what to do. TBH if I do ever get a BFP again i will take it.

Hun, we will all be here for next week you know that. Moan rant and cry away, that is what your virutual friends are for hun.

Loadsa love and luck

Lou

PS I have contemplated the postie too lol.
