Message: Hello,
I've just found this lovely hopeful board and would like to join you. I'm halfway through what will hopefully be my penultimate pack of pills before TTC our second child (DD is 3 and a half), but DH is still mulling the matter over. Since DD was born, we have changed our minds umpteen times as to whether we wanted more children according to parenting stress levels (our original plan being to have two, with a gap of 2-4 years), and moving house during last year's housing collapse deferred the decision somewhat. But recently I've been getting terribly broody and as soon as I owned up to DH that I thought we ought to decide one way or another soon, I knew where my vote lay. DH appears to be liking the idea, but has fair worries about being in a rented house at the moment and losing too much couple time - having a baby affected this much more than we expected, but I don't think it's going to increase on present amount until DD (and any others) leave home. He has less valid concerns about his age - he's 45, but widely and rightly regarded as fantastic with children, and besides, I'm only 31! Anyway, am trying to be patiently quiet so that I don't put him off by harping on - and hoping he sees that problems can be overcome. I don't know how I'm going to restrain myself if he settles on a no vote - the pill literally sticks in my throat even now :-/
Good wishes to everyone
Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Welcome to the board.

I am 36 and live with my DF (soon to be DH) and our DD who has just turned 2 and our dog.  We are going TTC baby no 2 in Dec (we are getting married NYE).

There is never the ideal time to have number 2 is there?  We have gone from wanting another, to being happy with our one, to wondering how we would manage financially with another, to do we want DD to be an only child, to my age etc etc so I do know where you are coming from.

Hopefully you will be able to persuede your DD to TTC your second! x

Hi,

Another newbie who would like to join in on this board!

Waiting to TTC no 2. DS has just turned one and I am itching for another! In the same boat with age gap timings, finance, will our house be big enough, etc etc. DF and I are getting married on 5th Feb next year so I have a dress to fit in to and need to keep slim and fit, need to hold off TTC til a bit later!

I am currently in a job I hate working three days a week that is just going no-where and it would be lovely to try for another, so I can enjoy my time at home with the children. We just keep going round in circles as to when we want to start trying again. It looks hopeful though that I can finish my last pack of pills around the wedding and hope for a honeymoon baby no 2. I just hope we don't do a u-turn again!

It would be nice to make friends here and would love to keep in touch with others in the same position who can relate!

Jen
