Hi, not been on here for a bit.

DH and I both really want another (3rd) baby, but DH worries a lot about money. He is the sensible head, i am a bit more, well he would say irresponsible, i say carefree ;-)

we've talked til we are blue in the face about another baby, he says he worries we can't afford it as we are paying off quite large debts at the moment. He is really excited about the idea of anther child *someday*... i want one now now now (have i mentioned i am a bit impatient and controlling too? hmm lucky DH i'm such a catch) the main thing is that i will have to give up work for a few years if we have another cos childcare for 3 just won't work

Welllll the other day i sat down with all the facts and figures and presented him with a breakdown of how it will work :-)

and, in a nutshell, according to my paymenht plan once we have paid of 25% of the credit card, i can get pregnant lol

i predict this will take a maximum of 10 months, but if i am frugal and sensible, i can do it in 4 or 5! Yey!

soooo my challenge is to spend as little as possible while still living a healthy happy life - there are things i am prepared to sacrifice and things i am not, but each time i go to spend money i can think, do i need this or can i put this money towards having my baby sooner?!

i think it'll work for me

now to figure out how to lose the weight i have accumulated over the last 2 babies before i get even bigger!!!

hi, glad to hear you and DH have had a good chat about it and that you both have a payment plan in place to get your debts sorted. Its very sensible and you will be glad of it once you have your 3rd baby.
you should put up a ticker to show your progress in your saving!

That sounds like a good sensible plan to me.  At least then your finances will be in order before having another.  I think I've spoken to you before over on the WW board when I was trying and failing miserably to lose weight.

I am going to spend my time waiting saving too.  I want to take a good long maternity off before getting back to the grindstone.  To do that we need to move house, change the car and save up at least six months of bills and mortgage payments to make having 9-10 months plus holidays buffer.

Good luck with paying off your credit card bill.  Have you tried reclaiming your ppi - I did this and it wiped my debt clean and they didn't argue I just sent one letter to the Financial Ombudsman Service and they settled within a few weeks.
