Well as some of you know, we had a meeting Wednesday with a baby's SW.  She was really really nice and put us at ease right from the start.  Anyway, whe was talking very matter of fact like as if she'd already decided but we daren't ask to confirm it.  After a coupleof hours she asked if we wanted to continue with a big smile on her face, eeeeerrrr YES.  So she said "congratulations you're officially matched"!

So, we have provisional date for matching panel early Oct then introductions with lil baby squidge, a boy who's nearly 5mths old will start end of October.  Exciting times eh?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!  DH is starting to panic at the list of things we've got to buy and get ready!  Now where did I put that Mothercare catalogue..........

No, we didn't specify wanting a baby and we are approved for 2 children aged 6 or under so the goalposts were quite wide.  Obviously we are very shocked at being given such an oportunity beyond our wildest dreams.  Matching panel is on 6th Oct but intros won't start until early November because of FC holidays.  We're on cloud 9, never thought we'd get to this stage and it always seemed to happen to everyone else.  Think we'll be flying high for some time to come yet, think hubby's getting nervous as he's been pricing up all the things we'll be needing ha ha!!!!

hope you don't mind me crashing your board... but i'm very new to all this...just starting to look at adoption as an option...

would it be ok to ask you a few questions about your adoption experience/ hear your story?
