Hi girls

Some of you may remember me saying that we couldn't co-sleep as Em has reflux... well her night-time sickness has been a bit better and after a few VERY tough nights I decided to give it a go again... it worked a treat on Sunday night after Em stayed awake to 3am (man alive!!!) and last night she finally went to sleep beside me at 11.45 and is still sleeping now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  DH is well and truly relegated to the spare room now!!!

Can I just check that Im doing it safely though?  We can't put our bed against a wall so I have a pillow under the duvet at the other side of the bed (Em can't roll over yet but just incase) and I have taken the pillows away from the side Em is sleeping on.  I then lie her in the middle of the bed with her head at boob level incase she needs fed in the night and I just sleep on my own side with my pillow.

TIA

Sounds good to me! We had a few months of DS perched precariously on the edge of the bed and on top of the duvet. We then put a bed rail up in case of unexpected rolling but then we had 3 in a bed so not as much room and not the option to do what you're doing.

I would just make sure she's not under the duvet (apologies if you already know this, I wasn't sure from your message), so either lie her on top with her own covers or bunch the duvet down and around her.

Hope you get some peaceful sleep now with your new arrangements. x

Thanks Natalie.  Yes I've been going under the duvet and Em sleeps on top of the duvet in her sleeping bag.

I think we are maybe going to buy a matress for the floor of our spare room, that way there will be no rolling out of bed issues as Em gets older!
