Has anyone any good ideas for a decorated broomstick for a halloween party?

Do you have to make a broomstick from scratch or can you decorate a bought one?

If you can buy one you could paint it gold or silver and stick star stickers along the handle to make it extra magical. I think you can get spray spiders web too (Woolworths?) so you could use a little on the broom end.

Or you could go completely girly and paint it pink and add glitter on the broom end for extra fairy goodness! Spray paint might be the easiest option.

How about wrapping an old feather boa around the handle? Or sticking coloured pompoms to the bristles? If you use glue dots there won't be any mess either.

Thanks for your ideas, I will go to woolworths at the weekend and stock up on spider webs and spray paint and then give it a go.
