start preparing for Christmas this far ahead? I have finished most of my shopping for gifts as I can not tolerate shops at the best of times. next task is the adding of a small item to the weekily shop. Cranberry sauce, tin of biscuits, crackers. Just one thing. Does help to spread the cost especially as I now have the six grandchildren. plus all my lovely little neices and nephews.

Hi Jill

OMG it's not far off is it, I must admit I havent got anything I did try to get some little treats which were so cheap at £1.00 at my local Co-op but I'm sorry to say I thought I should check them out and in no time at all they were all gone :( but very nice they were so I will have to get somemore LOL.

Money is tight being on Income support and getting from one pay day to the next 2 weeks later I find very hard so I know I should really get started as no one expects me to spend loads.

:) Just thought I would tell you That Denise is thinking about putting Becky in the cotbed so at the moment I'm busy making some sheets out of some single sheets that I have, I might even try to make some fitted ones.

Let me know about Grandson weight, name etc would love to know.

Love Joyce x

Hi Jill,

I bought my first contribution to Christmas today, as the supermarket had their £5 tins of chocs in, from now on I will, like you, get a few seasonal bits each week with my weekly shop.

Well done you for getting on so well with your present shopping you are very organised.  I keep meaning to make a start but haven't got round to it yet.  I don't go to the shops much as I have the grandchildren to mind a lot and they are not too keen to trapse round the shops.

I find it diffucult to buy for my teenage grandchildren, as they are into all the high tech stuff which I don't undrestand much, might get the girls perfume, there are always lots of toys for the younger ones.

I'm just back form a holiday in Lanzarote where the weather was fantastic, topped up my tan nicely.

Best wishes,   Maggie x

Hi Joy,

it does creep up quickly doesn't it.

Busy girl doing all that sewing. Bless her, little Becky must be growing nicely!

Hi Maggie,

I hope that means you missed the rain we had!

Teenagers are so hard to by for. My eldest GD is 10 and her tastes are definitely getting more grown up. I hate shopping at the best of times and shopping with children is definitely a no-no.
