Hi ladies,

I'm getting a bit bored with our main meals as seem to be doing the same old tried and tested meals so wondered if you had any ideas for us please?

My DS, 3 next month, thankfully will eat anything you put in front of him so I have no restrictions as to what he will eat its just I'm not very inventive because I hate cooking tbh.

TIA for any suggestions.

Hiya

What sort of meals do you eat normally? We usually have 'northern' meals lol sheperds pies, stews, casseroles, roasts etc, but I can also make bolognaise, lasagne, and a lovely greek pasta casserole called pastisada. I enjoy cooking, but I'm not very experimental so my stuff is all fairly simple! Give me a shout if you fancy any of it

How about fajitas? My 3 year old had those for the first time the other day and he loved them. And as for my 6 year old, well she ate more than me so they're obviously a big hit.

Other than that we generally eat steamed fish or chicken with veg and potatoes, pasta with various sauces, veg lasagne or shepherds pie.

Meals that we have less often (but which still go down well with both children) include chicken korma & mixed veg/tomato rice, stir fried chicken & noodles, beef chilli with rice and fish pie with swede & sweet potato topping.

Does that give you a few ideas?
