Ok I am so mad right now I could scream.

My eldest is not even 5 and a half and already so is a total little madam and everything has to be all about what she wants! Her little sister needed a bunch of new clothes as she has grown a bit and also just had mainly summer stuff so I needed to get her warmer stuff for winter so I have ordered a bunch online. Anyway, it all came today and my DD1 has gone totally insane. Once she realised there was nothing for her she started throwing things, shouting, telling DD2 that her stuff was ugly and rubbish and calling me names etc. It was horrible.

I wouldnt mind but only yesterday I had spent money on her getting her some new school stuff and got her some things to do during the half term as she loves making things things/drawing etc. but she just forgets all that when she knows someone else has something that she doesnt. DS1 didnt mind that he didnt get anything but she was trying to get him to be bad too. I tried to explain that as she is at school 5 days a week she doesnt need as many 'normal' clothes as she is in a uniform all week and only need own clothes on the weekend but it doesnt work.

She is like this about EVERYTHING. She always has to have the most stuff or cannot be left out even if she doesnt need something she just wants wants wants all the time and it really gets to me as I didnt raise them to be so selfish. It can be anything from food, clothes, toys, whatever it is she is greedy and selfish about it.

I just wondered if anyone else had similar issues? My sister was like this as a child and there was only the two of us so I dont think it's just because I have 5 kids. Maybe it is just her personality but it really rubs me the wrong way. Sorry for the moan but I just wish she could be nicer about things as she has NEVER gone without, I always do things equally between them but nothing ever seems enough for her. I dread how bad she will be as a teenager!

Message: Hi
My daughter is the selfish one in our house - not all the time but she is the most likely
She is a teenager though so probably comes with the territory
