hi

i'm trying to get organised (i want everything bought and wrapped before this baby makes an appearance if i can lol)

what are you buying your 4 years olds this year and what to you think is an appropriate spend? i haven't got a big family so Alfie doens't get as much as some other kids do so i want to make it special without going ott

i've bought him a Nintendo DS with the G-force game and i'm thinking about a bike so he can cycle down to school with me and the pram - any thoughts???

i've only bought him the DS so we can monitor how much time he spends playing with it and it's easy to take away if need be - he doesn't have a tv or anything like that in his bedroom

cheers

great post, and I'll be looking for replies, lol.

I am really quite stumped this year tbh. Katelyn is wanting a pink micro scooter but I feel she is too young yet?? Like a lot of people our budget is very tight this year but I am hoping to spend around £50 on each of mine, I'd love to spend more, but they get so much from elsewhere I'm fortunate that I really don't need too!

Also, I tend to wait til the 3for2 and other such offers appear.

Hi,

Well done you for being so organised!! I'm getting there too and have got most of it now, just the last few bits and pieces to get.

We've got Ryan a Ben 10 scooter and the Ben 10 pogo stick, he's loves being outside, and he's been on his brothers 2 wheel scooter just fine. He also learnt to ride his bike without stabilisers on earlier in the summer, which he loves. We've bought Connor (who will be 7 at Christmas) a new bike, so Ryan will have his old one probably next year (dont like him to be second hand rose all the time, but seems silly to get another one the same size as this, this outgrow bikes so fast too!) We've also got them each a DS game (LJ they are fab, can easily take them off, and monitor how much time they are playing with them) got Ryan a younger version of Brain Training which looks good, and Connor's got the Star Wars Lego one. Other than that it's cheap stuff, books, colouring stuff, oh, and we got Ryan one of those slinky spring things too from the pound shop but I can see it being the most played with present LOL!!

Think we're going to spend about £100 on each of the kids, just lots of little bits to open after their main big presents.

Jo

Hi

I'm having an organised type of day too.

This morning I have started making plans for Sam's birthday party on 2nd January. He wants a joint party with the twins in his class and it would seem they have already sorted most of it!

I also bought an outfit for Izzy for her birthday in the Tesco's sale.

As for Christmas, Izzy and Sam have both said they want Father Christmas to organise skiing lessons for them again which is great cos I woould be getting them the lessons anyway. We may also get a Wii as a family present (not 100% yet) Apart from that it will be stocking fillers. Izzy has told both grandmas that she wants Father Christmas to bring her princess dressing up clothes (I think she's sussed how the Santa thing works :( ) Sam wants a new football top and then he will be happy. Neither of them have asked for any toys - yet.

Isn't it Halloween first?

Love

Kathryn

lol

halloween and bonire night first apparently but i'm having a mild panic this baby is going to make an early appearance.

don't ask me why though i'm probably just being daft but i'm been sickly for a few days with upset tummys (like my bodys having a clear out - sorry TMI) and i've had getting terrible back ache and pains! not sure i can go on like this or another 8 weeks - so just getting things organised -JUST IN CASE LOL
