Following the Poll, it seems the majority wanted an MAMA group for sharing photo's etc.

The "open access lobbey" to your group can be found at http://groups.ivillage.co.uk/welcometomamaengland

Although this sounds awfully complicated, it isnt. All you need to do is to click on that link, and sign up using the button on the Left hand side of the page.

Once you have done that, you need to click on FORUM along the top of the page, and then click on the writing that says "I'd like to join the private group please!"

You will need to be granted access to the group by one of the Cls. Simply leave a message there to let us know that you are you, and I will send you an invite to our 100% private group. Please Please Please include your ivillage name somewhere in your message. Because of the nature of the group we will not be letting anyone in unless we are totally sure of who they are.

Once in our private group you will be able to share info about meet ups, join in the fun and games of our photo contests, and use the mama chatroom, as well as find useful codes and freebies.

I know that many of you joined our original MSN group (http://groups.msn.com/IvillagesMAMA), unfortunately, that has been broken - a fault at MSN's end - since just after halloween 2006. Despite numerous emails, and many promises, it has still not been fixed, and is therefore pointless as no one is able to upload pictures or anything!

The same advice posted by the CE yesterday (http://messageboards.ivillage.co.uk/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-ukprmeetmum&msg=1.1) should be kept in mind when posting in the group.

Hello, great idea, I have just applied.

Are we allowed to create our own MSN group, say like just for Essex mums?? Thought I would ask just in case, don't want to overstep anybody :)

Sorry I didn't spot this last night! Personally I'd have no probs with you starting your own groups :o) , the only worry I would have would be your privacy and safety.

I think it would be best though if you had a natter with your "mini-cl" down in the area folders, as if this board takes off and maintains great pace then each area will hopefully be getting its own board after a while, and I imagine the Cls will then start individual msn groups to go with the new boards.

Just taking the opportunity to also to make sure that its very clear that I've been advised since this morning that CL's only are to launch MSN groups associated to Ivillage boards.
