What are you getting your children for christmas?

We're trying to cut down on the spending this year and also trying to avoid cluttering up the house with more toys.  Jeremiah is getting some arty stuff, postman pat bits and new pj's.  So far Isaac has got a rattling cube thing that I found in a 2nd hand shop, some lights to go in the bath and I'm going to get him some pj's too.  I think I might get him some new clothes because Jeremiah didn't wear his 9-12 month stuff for long so there isn't much in that size and his 6-9 month clothes are getting a bit snug.  He'll mostly be interested in the wrapping paper anyway.

Every year I say I'm not going to go over board for christmas, and every year that goes shamefully out of the window :s We tend to pick things up on special offer when we see them though, so it doesnt cost as much as it looks like.

This year he is having:

A pair of PJ's to open on christmas eve (family tradition pinched from Sarah who used to CL here)

Wooden dinosaurs from here http://www.ptolemytoys.co.uk/SearchResults.aspx?txtSearch=dinosaur&brand=&category=&Page=1

A nice fabric doll with Nappy and some spare clothes (cost me £11.99 from craft fair) plus home made fleece blanket for it (fabric left from other projects)

Ostheimer deer from www.myriadonline.co.uk, which was 10% off with an offer code

One of those V-tech kids cameras. (HATE V-tech and usually wont buy it on principle, but he really wants a camera)

I'm hoping to make some sock puppets if i have time

home made caterpillar finger puppet with leaf sleeping bag

Musical instruments

Fleece hat and scarf (home made)

And a wind up torch which was from a National trust shop for £5.

A stacking gnome house which was shipped in from germany with a load of other things. http://www.toyspectrum.de/Shop/index.php?language=en The P&P is a bit pricy, but if you buy enough things it works out more reasonable than myriad on a lot of things. So I bought stuff for family birthdays etc at the same time.

I have pretty much finished my christmas shopping already. I like to get it all out of the way by Dec 1st so I can avoid the crazy people at the shopping center ;)
