Hi

Welcome to the board, forgot to sign in with my cl hat on again. I would give your DD an ultimatum and spell  it out clearly and calmly that if she doesn't do her jobs throughly and graciously then she will have to stop dancing. She is lucky to be able to go dancing 3 times a week and you are presumably giving up your time taking her there and back as well as giving her the money.

I am a big believer in giving kids, especially teens, the ways and means to earn extra money by helping out around the house. It teaches the value of money, gives kids the idea of a work ethic and also gives them the skills they will need when they leave home.  If she carries on whiging then just tell her she will have to stop dancing and see what her reaction is. Ultimately it is her choice.  But don't make it an empty threat, mean it lol.

Hi

Good advice there but I'd like to add something

By way of a bit of background my son has caused problems for years...I have tried everything and would love it if he found something that interested him 3 times a week. Just a thought but do think hard about withdrawing something that keeps her out of trouble

x
