Hiya,

For those of you that remember my ups and downs with DS I thought I would give you an update.

Well it's been 2 years since he moved out and he is like a completely different person. He's pretty rubbish at paying his water bill on time but other than that I can't think of one negative thing to say about him. He's turned into a reliable, helpful and thoughtful young man. He's great company and we spend more time together than I imagine a lot of 18 year old boys do with their mums.

To top all the positivity I've felt for him lately he finally got his finger out and made a proper effort to find a job. He had an interview Mondayand on Tuesday started a trial which was supposed to last until Saturday. Anyway they are that impressed with him that they have offered him the job permanently today. So my DS is now  a trainee butcher and finally off of benefits. I'm so pleased for him and hope he continues to enjoy it and work hard.

Sunshine.
(and blue bump)

Hi

It's such great news I am sure you must be so pleased and relived and it's so nice to have a positive post on here. I think it shows there is light at the end of the tunnel and no matter how difficult our teens can be they won't be like it forever and they will turn the corner, well done to your son and to you.
