I am not new to ivillage but I am new to this particular board.  I have been reading some of the posts which are interesting.  What I dont get is why do women fancy certain other women and then when they spend a day or an evening with them, go off them because of some parculiar habit.  Something must have drawn them to the person in the first place.

At the moment I have a crush on someone.  I know nothing about her, but I like what I see.   And she is friendly.   She is someone at work and we recently fetched up at a seminar and she had no idea I was going to be there and when she saw me, she made a beeline for me saying to me  .  gosh I had no idea you would be here.   I have no idea about her circumstances.... she doesnt wear a wedding ring, but that could mean anything.  She is also about 13 years older than me and thats ok because I usually fancy older women.  

I have recently been on a diet and lost about 7 pounds and look remarkably slimmer than before and am proud of my new slim figure, not that I was overweight before but I was a bit too heavy for my liking.  Anyway I now am trying to flaunt my new figure for anyone and everyone to notice (is that egotistical).   I would like to get to know this woman better but at this rate, she will be gone before its even got off the ground (she is a temp and her contract is only until the end of the year)

After I had a very positive experience by just "going for it", I advise you to just get to know her, I do notice that it is much easier to spot the signals now that I have been with a woman, but I think you will pick up if there is something there, especially if you both have a drink and the ice is broken a bit. Don't worry if she is only a temp, it is a good way to ask for her number/email and keep in touch if she is leaving and probably easier to date if you are not working together.
