A couple of years ago I did an evening class and made friends with my teacher. Anyway, we remained friends and we met up with some of the others a few weeks ago where she said she was feeling a bit down but didn't elaborate and I didn't ask her in front of the others.

So, last week I phoned her and went to see her on Friday when hubby was at work and her kids were out at a holiday club. She made lunch and we were sitting on the sofa and she told me she no longer loves her husband and feels trapped in her marriage and he is abusive. She told me has been depressed and going to bed really early to avoid her husband. When she got tearful I put my arms around her and she hugged me and the next thing I know we were kissing and more. It was amazing and I told her it was. I have fancied her for ages but have never told anyone, let alone her !

We haven't mentioned the incident since (probably because there's been someone else around when she's been on the phone) but she has phoned me three times since and we are going out tomorrow night. I don't want to push it too much because she's vulnerable at the moment and I'm also worried about hurting her kids if this develops further. I'm single so there's no problems for me but I love her so much I don't want to ruin our chances.

Any advice on how to go from here? I've never done anything like this before and am feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves!

Welcome to the board, there are many ways we could advise you to go here hunni, no
contact to get over her, continue supporting her as a friend only or give in to your
love and tell her how you feel, only you can decide what will be best to be honest my love, as only you know her and yourself well.

I'm sure if you choose to tell her how you feel you will be aware that another relationship might not be what she wants right now as she may feel this will only add
to her confusion but you may just choose to support her for a while longer before you
make any hard and fast decisions, has she let you know how she felt about the kiss??
