Hi Everyone
I'm posting because I need to vent. I've been out on quite a few first dates and I NEVER seem to get a second date!!!!!!!!!! I dont get it. I'm interesting, independent, intelligent, dress well and reasonably attractive. But men either never text me back after the courtesy lovely to meet u text from ME, or they give me the friendship line. Now im not desperate for a relationship or a man and for the most part i accept that we wont be compatible but even the interesting, funny guys reject me!!!!!! I'm not sure what to do or what to think I feel so dejected and pissed off by the whole thing. Have other people experienced this?? How do you deal with it??

yeah it is through online dating. seems to be a bit of a meat market for men. there seem to be so many more women than men on these sites and because theres no commitment at all they can just flit from woman to woman without staying with anyone! i dont know, i just feel totally and utterly fed up with the whole thing. i cant believe how rude men are! it takes 30 seconds to send a polite but firm text saying thanks i had a good time but i dont think we are relationship material or something. anything. anything rather than perpetually meeting people and then disappearing! it sucks!

Hey again, Yes I agree. Some people seem to have some luck with online dating - but I think the majority don't. It is just rudeness that they don't respond and give you a polite no. Grrr! I've personally never done online dating... it seems too much like shopping for my liking, but there's got to be someone out there somewhere! :-)

I just thought of a couple of things... Firstly, have you tried changing sites? I've heard that there can be quite a bit of difference between them... Secondly, post your question in the folder a little bit further down the page for Jean Smith to reply to in our expert chat on the 9th. She might be able to shed some light on the male psyche for us! :-)
