I know I know I know I am supposed to be old enough to know the difference!

A guy I know is confusing the hell out of me. We get on great, he is always concerned if I am unwell or struggling with walking, he seeks out my company, we have lots of banter, he nicks my fries when we are out bowling then there was an email that could be read in two separate ways - I went negative, a couple of friends I have read it to told me that he was wingeing at me and that it was positive - basically I had given him a lift home (he'd had two beers), when I pulled up outside of his flat (and there had been lots and lots of banter during the drive, including me holding his hand on his lap to stop him fiddling with my CD player) he looked at me softly and after quite a long time he just said night and got out. Then the banter continued via email during which he said "you can take a horse to water but I can't make it drink" in connection to the car incident (part of a longer email) I read that as though he thought I wanted him to kiss me and he was the horse that couldn't be forced to drink. My mates said that I should stop being a pessimist and that he had meant that the horse had been taken to the water and yet he couldn't make me drink. But I had wanted to, so hence my reading of the situation.

Loads of people comment on how we interact, how we look at each other. We are totally comfortable with each other. Normally I am a person who doesn't go in for personal space invasion, but with him I don't mind at all - there is plenty of arm brushing etc (ok the time he playfully tapped me and it hurt I made him feel guilty about).

A group of us were talking about plans for last weekend, he said that he had two dates and then a few seconds later he told me quietly "I haven't really" He has recently asked about a guy I was dating months ago as he thought we were still together (no idea why he thought that). He's been keen to point out that he isn't thinking of relocating back to where he comes from (he tells me I am a cold hearted Anglo Saxon). I said that I may stop going into London as much and he said that he would miss me.

BUT is it all as a friend or more?

I don't want to look really stupid here, but I don't want to miss out on something because I am being a 40 year old going on 14 when it comes to reading signals!! lol

Uuuuuber quick message from me as I have a test in 20mins and I'm still sitting snuggled up at home.

""you can take a horse to water but I can't make it drink"" - I agree with your friends I think.

I think he's interested, you're interested, but he's not sure enough of where you are to lean in for a kiss.

Where and how did you meet?

:-)

Hello!

Well after a conversation this evening, I know that I was right and not the others - and that was from his mouth.

Oh well! Next as they say!
