Wow what a question. I love looking at houses, think I mentioned before I'd even quite like to be an estate agent.
My dream house would be big, 6 bedrooms over 3 storeys. The main bedroom being on the top floor with an en-suite. I'd have a big square kitchen with a dining room coming off of it. I'd love a utility room and a porch. It would be a detached house with plenty of parking. I don't want any neighbours but at the same time don't want to be out in the sticks so location would be important. The decoration would be pretty plain as I like to give the room character using furniture and accessories. It would be a newly built house and very modern but not minimal. I'd like a low maintenance garden that was kiddie friendly.
Ohhhhh I want to move into it now. Must go a buy a lottery ticket as I think it's the only way my dream house is achievable! lo
How are the viewings going with your house Sam? Have you had any further knocks on the door?

Hi, The viewings are good yet frustrating really! Both viewers last week said they wanted to buy it but neither are in a position to do so at the minute. The lady that came on Friday was very very keen - she's lived in the street before and all that stuff, but her house doesn't go on the market until this week, so it's just wait and see. I don't know if I have a dream house (should have thought it through before I asked the question, lol). But I like small, cottagey style old places. I'd like to be near the sea somewhere cosy with a good dining kitchen so I don't have to miss any of the fun and I have space for my dresser :-) Erm some good space outside for lots of bunnies and a room we could line with bookcases to have a reading and music room. I'd like to be in or very near to a town as I'd go mad if I was isolated. I am a proper townie. And if we're talking in the fantasy realm I would also like a city centre appartment somewhere for a retreat and a bit of comfort. I like to be coddled up when everything is busy and rushing around me!

ooooh good post!
I would build an eco-friendly 6 bedroom villa in Portugal, somewhere in the Algarve on the coast, but a bit off the beaten track. It would have a gym, swimming pool, sauna, games and cinema room. Huge garden and fabulous bbq area!
Ah, a dream house.......how's your house hunting/selling going?
edited to say just read your post about selling, so don't worry about replying if you don't want to repeat yourself!
