Hi All,

A friend of my said she would do me a favour last week, Anyway, she forgot and she was very apologetic. I said don't worry, but could she still help me out. She said that was OK. Anyway, I think she has forgot again. I don't know what to do - should I remind her or just leave it? Any advice would be good - thank you

Ellie

Hi Ellie,

I think I would try one more time if I was you. She did say she would help you out, and if she's anything like me, probably honestly did just forget. Three times might be pushing it though.

It depends how urgent or important the thing you asked her to do was. If time is pressing, then you're going to have to ask her again - and soon. The other thing of course is if you have no other option but to enlist her help (becasue you have no one else to ask or you can't afford to, say, pay someone to do what she agreed to) then you HAVE to ask again!

It also depends on what sort of a person she is. Is she usually this flaky or is she more reliable? Try to use your experience of past events with her. If she's normally the flaky sort, then you may even be wasting your time asking again! Is there no one else who can help?
