Hi

I hope this is the right place to post I am never sure.  I just really have hit a very big low at present. Just a little back ground i am 35 with a 3 year old little boy who is my life, i am married and i work full time, no problems there you all think,  well the problem is i work for my mum and up until 9 mths ago i was the only one out of my family who worked for her.  i have been there for nearly 8 years now.  since i have had my son my husband and i have had a few problems and i thought i could discuss them with my mum well the problem is after talking to my mum and my sister they have taken a big dislike to my husband and my husband has taken and dislike to them i have been with him for 12 years.  Now there is a huge gap in the family and i feel stuck in the middle on top of that my working relationship with my mum has changed and i feel as i am being taken for granted in fact the only time my mum phones me is about work.  I think i want to quit but i know that will be the end of my relationship with my family, but i can not keep going on like this i cry all the time and i am snappy, i feel like i am just existing i just want to be happy again.   sorry for the long sob story just have no one else to talk to.

any advise will be gratefully received.

Jo

Oh Dear Jo

Family just aren't the best people to help out with stuff like this!

Why not talk to your husband, say something like you wish you hadn't gone to your mum for help but were really concerned about the problems you are having. If he is willing to do so visit Relate (used to be called Marriage Advice). If he doesn't want to do that you could go there alone for some sessions.

As far as your mum is concerned tell her things are now being sorted but don't go into any detail.

Hope this helps
